The Detroit Pistons currently find themselves in the midst of a rebuild and GM Troy Weaver has done an excellent job of assembling a roster of versatile, young talents.
Led by first overall pick Cade Cunningham, the Pistons have struggled this season in terms of finishing out games, but they have won six of their last eight games, showing glimpses into what the future holds for this franchise.
Cade Cunningham, Saddiq Bey, and Isaiah Stewart are the main core of the Pistons right now and in the offseason, finding more ways to expand on their young core will be the main goal of this organization.
Likely to end up with another Top-5 pick in the upcoming 2022 NBA Draft, the Pistons will have a chance to add another talented prospect and they could really go “all-in” on building around Cunningham by trading Jerami Grant.

While he has been great for them, Jerami Grant is going to be entering the final year of his three-year contract with Detroit and while his value is at an all-time high, it may make the most sense for the Pistons to trade him right now.
It is possible that the Hawks could offer up John Collins, but it is much more likely that an offer of Kevin Huerter and De’Andre Hunter or Jerami Grant would be presented by Atlanta.
Huerter and Hunter are two solid young wings that Detroit could add to their core, giving them more depth and weapons to utilize on offense.

In Atlanta, both Huerter and Hunter have been great young pieces on the wing, but the Hawks need another scoring weapon like Jerami Grant next to Trae Young. Grant could be the player that helps them get back to making a deep playoff push during the 2022-23 season.
