Latest NBA Trade Rumors: Pelicans, Knicks, Thunder, Magic, 76ers, and Suns
New Orleans Pelicans: Trading for CJ McCollum was a huge step forward for the Pelicans, even though they had to sacrifice a handful of future value in the process. Still, the Pelicans are unlikely to trade the young big man, as he has emerged as a critical power forward/center hybrid player for them in recent weeks. Jaxson Hayes continues to draw some trade interest from a few rebuilding franchises.
New York Knicks: With CJ McCollum off-the-market and presumably De’Aaron Fox as well, time is running out for the Knicks to make a big move. Jerami Grant seems to be the next “big name” on the Knicks’ wish list this season, and the Knicks were also said to have a level of interest in Buddy Hield before him being traded on Tuesday per our own Evan Massey.
Oklahoma City Thunder: The Thunder are interested in getting involved in multi-team trade in the sense of taking back unwanted salaries if they are to be rewarded with draft compensation. Oklahoma City has also been looking for a possible trade involving Derrick Favors for draft picks. Kenrich Williams also remains on the trade block as a low-cost bench target.
Orlando Magic: Terrence Ross is the best trade asset in Orlando right now, and there is a good chance he will be on the move to a new team. Should he remain on the Magic’s roster through the NBA trade deadline, the team will look to move him around the 2022 NBA Draft for a late first-round pick if possible. Gary Harris is unlikely to be moved and is a prime buyout candidate that several playoff teams, including the likes of the Nets, Mavericks, and Lakers, have been targeting.
Philadelphia 76ers: The 76ers continue to believe that Ben Simmons has the highest value out of any tradeable player in the NBA right now, which is why they would like to swap him for James Harden straight-up. The Nets have been unwilling to agree to such terms and want a handful of other valuable assets from the Sixers, something Philadelphia has been reluctant to give up.

Phoenix Suns: Spurs’ forward Thaddeus Young has received interest from the Suns dating back to the start of the season, and trade talks are gaining traction. Dario Saric, Jalen Smith, and a future draft pick are expected to be dealt for Young, should a deal be agreed upon between San Antonio and Phoenix. The Suns are also expected to look for another shooter in the buyout market if possible.
