Latest NBA Trade Rumors: Hawks, Nets, Celtics, Hornets, Bulls, and Cavaliers
Atlanta Hawks: Sources told NBA Analysis Network that the Hawks are showing interest in Raptors’ veteran guard Goran Dragic. Since the start of the season, the Raptors have been looking to trade Dragic and his expiring contract for “win-now” assets. Atlanta has been looking for another primary facilitator next to Trae Young, and the team is open to discussing deals centered around Danilo Gallinari and Bogdan Bogdanovic.
Brooklyn Nets: Debates about whether or not James Harden will be on the move to the Philadelphia 76ers are ongoing, but the Nets are not willing to deal Harden unless they are getting a lot more value than just Ben Simmons. Seth Curry, Tyrese Maxey, and Matisse Thybulle are all assets Brooklyn has asked for in return from Philadelphia. Still, the 76ers have been unwilling to negotiate a deal, including these three players. Both teams remain at a crossroads with a deal looking more and more unlikely to happen.
Boston Celtics: Dennis Schroder remains the key talking point on the Celtics, as the Bucks and Bulls have shown the most trade interest. However, the Celtics are looking to get at least a first-round pick for Schroder. Josh Richardson also continues to draw interest from the Timberwolves, Lakers, and Jazz. Boston is expected to utilize at least one of their trade exceptions to bring in another impactful scorer on the wing. Jazz’s Sixth-Man of the Year Jordan Clarkson has emerged as a possible trade target for Boston.
Charlotte Hornets: Finding a reliable, impactful big man has been a goal of the Hornets dating back to the offseason, and both Kings’ Richaun Holmes and Rockets’ Christian Wood remain high on their list. Wizards’ Montrezl Harrell is another name to keep an eye on, especially given Charlotte’s interest in him when he was a free agent in 2020. The Hornets have shown a level of unwillingness to part with third-year forward P.J. Washington, but he is likely the key to making a significant move at the deadline.
Chicago Bulls: Dennis Schroder remains a possible trade target for the Bulls to upgrade their backcourt depth. Chicago has also shown interest in adding another big man to complement All-Star Nikola Vucevic in the frontcourt. Thunder’s Derrick Favors has been brought up on multiple occasions, as has Wizards’ Montrezl Harrell. Derrick Jones Jr. and Troy Brown Jr. are the two main assets that the Bulls would like to trade in order to upgrade their championship chances.

Cleveland Cavaliers: The addition of Caris LeVert makes the Cavaliers a real threat in the Eastern Conference this season. If Cleveland is to make any more moves, which looks unlikely at this point, they will look to fit a small contract player into their $4.2 million TPE that was created when JaVale McGee was traded to the Denver Nuggets last season.
