Atlanta Hawks
The 24-26 Hawks have shown a willingness to entertain offers for John Collins leading up to the NBA trade deadline. Finding another high-level scorer to pair with Trae Young is Atlanta’s ultimate goal leading up to the trade deadline.
Opening up cap space by trading Danilo Gallinari or Bogdan Bogdanovic is also a possibility, but many around the league expect the Hawks to target a “win-now” player on the wing in-place of either Gallinari or Bogdanovic.
Brooklyn Nets
Brooklyn has been active in looking to use their $11.4M TPE that was created when they traded Spencer Dinwiddie to the Washington Wizards this past offseason.
Jeremy Lamb, Daniel Theis and Justin Holiday have been mentioned to NBA Analysis Network as possible targets with this exception. Veteran Paul Millsap is a prime buyout candidate this season and the Nets have explored trade opportunities including him, Bruce Brown and Jevon Carter.
Charlotte Hornets
The Hornets’ front-office has not shown any willingness to tear their core group of Ball, Rozier, Bridges and Hayward apart. It is possible that the team could look to package Mason Plumlee with a draft pick or two to upgrade frontcourt depth, but Charlotte is not expected to make a significant change at the NBA trade deadline at this moment, even though they do have interest in adding another high-level center like Pacers’ Myles Turner or Rockets’ Christian Wood.
Chicago Bulls
With Lonzo Ball and Alex Caruso out indefinitely, Celtics’ Dennis Schroder has suddenly emerged as a prime trade candidate for the Chicago Bulls.
The outside possibility of trading for Pistons’ forward Jerami Grant still remains, but the Bulls have not been willing to include Patrick Williams in trade talks. Coby White’s name has been brought in trade talks recently and Chicago has been open to discussing options further.
Cleveland Cavaliers
Moving Ricky Rubio’s $17.8M contract is the main goal of the Cavaliers at the NBA trade deadline this season and they are willing to attach a draft pick in a trade with him in order to add another impactful offensive-minded talent. Caris LeVert, Eric Gordon and Gary Harris are three names that have been linked to Cleveland over the last few weeks.
Dallas Mavericks
There is no interest within the Mavericks’ organization of trading Jalen Brunson ahead of the NBA trade deadline. Brunson is set to become an unrestricted free agent in the offseason, but Dallas remains highly optimistic of their chances of bringing him back on a long-term deal. However, the Mavericks are looking for options on the perimeter to replace Tim Hardaway Jr., who is currently sidelined indefinitely with a broken left foot.
LATEST NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: Bradley Beal Conflicted About Future With Washington Wizards
Packaging Dwight Powell and Reggie Bullock to upgrade their scoring depth remains a possibility, but Dallas does intend on using part or all of their $10.8M TPE that was created by trading Josh Richardson to the Celtics this past offseason.
Denver Nuggets
Jeff Green and JaMychal Green are two Nuggets’ players that have drawn a fair amount of interest on the trade market the last few weeks. There are no indications that Denver will trade either veteran, but they are committed to staying under the tax line this season and would entertain the idea of leveraging one or both players to add another impactful scorer on the wing next to Will Barton.
The Nuggets have not given up on the season and they believe that they are still very much in the thick of things in the Western Conference playoff picture.
Detroit Pistons
Several teams have called the Pistons in recent weeks to inquire about Jerami Grant and the chances of him being on the move still remain fairly high.
