More NBA News & Trade Rumors
Golden State Warriors
Draymond Green’s back injury is expected to keep him sidelined through the All-Star break, but there is no long-term concern within the Warriors’ organization right now. Due to their multiple All-Star talents and their vast amount of bench depth, Golden State is not expected to make any moves at the NBA trade deadline this season.
Houston Rockets
Veteran wing Eric Gordon has been pursued by several playoff contending teams in recent weeks, but a source close to the Rockets told NBA Analysis Network that the team is not willing to give him up unless they are receiving at least one first-round draft pick and a young talent.
John Wall remains a buyout candidate league-wide and the Clippers have emerged as a potential dark-horse trade candidate for Wall. No trade is imminent, but the former All-Star point guard does have fans within the Clippers’ front-office and the idea of pairing him with Paul George and Kawhi Leonard heading into next season is intriguing to Los Angeles.
Indiana Pacers
Domantas Sabonis, Caris LeVert and Myles Turner continue to draw trade interest around the NBA. The Pacers have put a hefty asking price on Sabonis of at least two first-round picks and a young talent who can play right now. LeVert’s asking price is a little less, but the Pacers are still wanting a first-round pick for him.
Sabonis has emerged as a potential trade candidate for the Wizards and Indiana does have a level of interest in Washington’s Rui Hachimura, Deni Avdija and rookie Corey Kispert.
Los Angeles Clippers
The Ringer’s Kevin O’Connor reported earlier this week that the Clippers are searching for point guard help. The team could be willing to move veterans like Serge Ibaka, Nicolas Batum, Eric Bledsoe and Marcus Morris Sr. to add another impactful guard in the backcourt with Reggie Jackson. Batum and Morris are the two names drawing the most traction ahead of the NBA trade deadline, as Batum is a prime trade candidate given that his contract can fit into many trade exceptions around the league. Los Angeles is expected to “sell” at the deadline in attempts to be a contending team once again next season.
Los Angeles Lakers
The Lakers have been searching for more value by including Talen Horton-Tucker in trade talks and have received minimal interest. Jerami Grant, Eric Gordon and Gary Trent Jr. are three players the Lakers’ front-office have inquired about, but one source tells NBA Analysis Network that the Pistons, Rockets and Raptors seem “uninterested” in what Los Angeles has to offer.
LATEST NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: Bradley Beal Conflicted About Future With Washington Wizards
The buyout market appears to be the only chance the Lakers will have to add impactful talent ahead of the playoffs given their lack of assets heading into the NBA trade deadline.
Miami Heat
There is a level of interest in trading Duncan Robinson, but the Miami Heat are not actively looking to make a drastic change to their roster. Victor Oladipo is on the mend and is getting ready to return to action within the next month of play, giving the Heat another impactful secondary talent to utilize in their rotations.
Milwaukee Bucks
The Bucks have held conversations with some teams in the NBA in regards to moving veteran center Brook Lopez, who has not played since the opening game of the season due to back surgery. Being owed $27.2M through next season, there is very little interest in taking on said contract from rebuilding franchises.
LATEST NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: Bradley Beal Conflicted About Future With Washington Wizards
Donte DiVincenzo has drawn “considerable” trade interest according to HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto, but the Bucks are not planning on moving the young guard unless they can get back an impactful “win-now” piece.
New Orleans Pelicans
Multiple sources have told NBA Analysis Network that the Pelicans want to be “buyers” at the NBA trade deadline and are looking to make some moves to get them in the playoff picture.
Josh Hart, Tomas Satoransky and Jaxson Hayes have all been brought up in trade talks in New Orleans and the organization is looking to bring in a third key talent to pair with Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson. CJ McCollum, Domantas Sabonis, Eric Gordon and Harrison Barnes are all names that have been mentioned as possible trade targets for New Orleans.
