Damian Lillard

If there is any difference maker that the Philadelphia 76ers should work hard to get, it is Damian Lillard. The two sides were linked in the offseason but a deal was not made.

The Portland Trail Blazers have said that they do not want to trade Lillard but they might not have a choice soon. It has been another lackluster season in Portland and Lillard might force his way out of town.

Lillard is the type of player and person that has said all of the right things in the media but at some point, a player has to want to win. The Sixers are currently one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference and would be even better with an All-Star point guard like Lillard.

The Sixers appeared on Lillard’s short list in the offseason. It is clear that he would play for the Sixers if a deal came to fruition but it is all about who would make the first move.

There have been many players removed from trade talks recently but Lillard should not be one. He is one of the best players in the league and would take the Sixers up another notch. This deal is a no-brainer if the Sixers are able to put together a package.
