Los Angeles Lakers Receive: F Jerami Grant
Detroit Pistons Receive: F Talen Horton-Tucker, G Kendrick Nunn, C DeAndre Jordan, 2025 First-Round Pick, 2027 First-Round Pick
This is all about the best package the Los Angeles Lakers could throw at the Detroit Pistons. There’s a chance they could get away with offering less, but this is probably the max they’d be willing to offer. It would sacrifice some of their future to help them win right now.
Jerami Grant hasn’t appeared in a game since December 10th but was putting up solid numbers for that. He was averaging 20.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game while shooting 41.4 percent from the field and 33.1 percent from three-point range.
Meanwhile, Talen Horton-Tucker has been struggling with inefficient shooting after a brief, hot start for the Lakers. He’s averaging 11.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.8 assists while shooting 40.8 percent from the field and 24.4 percent from deep.
Kendrick Nunn has yet to play in a game for the Lakers this year but was a stud in Miami last season.

As for DeAndre Jordan, he’s fallen out of favor in Frank Vogel’s rotation but would need to be included in this deal for salary-matching purposes.
The unprotected first-round picks round out this package. Los Angeles would land Jerami Grant and the Detroit Pistons would get a young piece and picks. Is this the sort of trade both teams should be interested in? Why would each squad want to do this?
