1. Washington Wizards
When the Washington Wizards pulled off a strong start to the 2021-22 campaign, a pivotal reason was their balanced production from players acquired in the Russell Westbrook trade.
The Wizards have cooled off since and are now 17-16 on the season. Washington could use another talented player to add into the mix at the NBA trade deadline to ignite another spark.
The starting point guard for the Wizards clearly is Spencer Dinwiddie and there’s no sense in changing that, especially for Dennis Schroder.
Where Schroder could be particularly helpful is in being a key part of the Washington Wizards’ bench. Washington’s reserves already are averaging 39.1 points per game (5th), so adding a recent Sixth Man of the Year candidate at the point guard spot would be intriguing.

Relying on a combination of Raul Neto, Aaron Holiday, and Joel Ayayi when they are available to fill the backup point guard is not going to cut it. Schroder would provide in immediate boost.
