3. Jayson Tatum/Jaylen Brown

The Boston Celtics have been a team in need of some help for over a year now. They could be on their way to underachieving once again but at what point is this just what they are? The Celtics struggle with depth at point guard and could use some more help down low as well. Brad Stevens has his hands full to get this team back to championship level.

It is clear that the Celtics are committed to Jayson Tatum. He is the franchise player and is unlikely to be moved. The same cannot be said about Jaylen Brown. He could be used as a trade piece if the front office wants to make a splash.

It is unknown if this will happen which is why the two stars are linked in this one. Both Tatum and Brown bring similar skillsets. They can both take over a game offensively but struggle on the other end of the floor. Boston extended the likes of Marcus Smart and Robert Williams this offseason.

While those may be nice moves for depth, they are not pieces in the starting lineup that can be relied on during a championship run. This is the ultimate goal for the Celtics.
