1. Nikola Jokic

The Denver Nuggets knew coming into the season that it was going to be a bit of a challenge without Jamal Murray. He injured his knee last year and was forced to miss the postseason. Now, the loss is impacting the Nuggets as they have fallen under .500 and near the bottom of the Western Conference.

This is something that was not expected. The Nuggets feature the reigning MVP and one of the best big men in the league in Nikola Jokic. He remains an elite player in the league but could use some help to get Denver to the postseason and bridge the gap a bit until Murray is able to return.

Ultimately, that should be the goal of the front office. Also, the loss of Michael Porter Jr. is one that hurt as well. He is having issues with his back and required surgery that will keep him on the sideline for the remainder of the season.

It is unknown where the Nuggets could look for help but the NBA trade deadline is the perfect time to take advantage of a player who might be on the block.

The West is only continuing to improve and that is not going to change. The Nuggets want to make sure they can keep up and to do so, they should made a trade to give Jokic some help this season.
