Best Trade Destination No. 2: Los Angeles Clippers

The LA Clippers are in a tough spot this season as they try to navigate things without Kawhi Leonard. Leonard injured his knee in the team’s second-round matchup with the Utah Jazz in the postseason and is without a timetable to return.

Without him, Paul George will be doing a lot of the heavy lifting for the team. To help take some pressure off of him, the team could look to pick up someone such as Buddy Hield to draw some attention from the defense.

In Los Angeles, Hield’s shortcomings defensively would be easier to hide as the Clippers are a solid team on that end of the court. He could slide right into a sixth man role off the bench or replace Eric Bledsoe in the starting five, pushing him to a reserve role.

Adding another shooter to the mix wouldn’t hurt either. The Clippers had the best 3-point shooting percentage in the NBA last season, but Luke Kennard is the only one thus far this season picking up where they left off last season.
