3. Killian Hayes turns into a starting point guard
During the draft a year ago, Hayes was considered one of the best prospects. He was viewed as a future starting point guard and could still turn into that if he improves with the Detroit Pistons. After a bit of a lost rookie season, Hayes is going to be looking to turn the corner.
As a rookie, the French point guard played in just 26 games. He averaged 25.8 minutes per night and scored 6.8 points per game on 35.3% shooting. The upside is that he is dished out 5.3 assists per contest and they showed that he has a strong ability passing the ball.
Hayes will need to improve as a three-point shooter, especially if he is going to be off the ball a bit more with Cade Cunningham in the lineup.
The Pistons have a chance to build a strong backcourt if Hayes is able to take the next step.
