3. Isaiah Thomas
The Dallas Mavericks have been on the hunt for a secondary ball-handler this offseason. There have been mixed reports about the player they’re targeting for that role being Goran Dragic. As things currently stand, it is a need that has still not been filled.
Finding a player to fit that mold in free agency at this point will be difficult. But, the team could turn to a veteran such as Isaiah Thomas.
As Shams Charania of The Athletic reported, Thomas recently worked out for the Mavericks with Lance Stephenson and Monta Ellis. Charania pointed out that Thomas looked in the best shape.
Isaiah Thomas appeared in three games with the New Orleans Hornets last season, as he has attempted to get back into the NBA. Injuries derailed his career, but Thomas said that he is healthy and good to go.

If actually healthy, Isaiah Thomas’s scoring prowess would make for a solid addition to the end of the Mavericks’ bench as a third point guard.
