3 Last-Minute Free Agency Options For Dallas Mavericks

Dallas Mavericks
NBA Analysis Network

The Dallas Mavericks are hoping their improvements this offseason will help them find more playoff success than they have in recent seasons. 2011, when Dallas won the NBA Championship, was the last time that the Mavericks won a playoff series. They have made the playoffs six times since then and been eliminated in the first round each time.

In the last two years, those defeats have come at the hands of the Los Angeles Clippers. So, the Mavericks underwent some major changes this offseason.

Donnie Nelson and Rick Carlisle, two mainstays in the organization, are both going elsewhere. Nico Harrison was hired to replace Nelson in the front office, while Jason Kidd replaced Carlisle as head coach.

A majority of the roster will be remaining, but the Mavericks made a few tweaks. Reggie Bullock and Sterling Brown were the biggest addictions in free agency. Moses Brown was acquired in the Josh Richardson trade with the Boston Celtics.

Tim Hardaway Jr. and Boban Marjonavoic were both re-signed as well. J.J. Redick and Nicolo Melli were not retained.

Is this enough to help the Mavericks get over the hump? They will be relying heavily on Luka Doncic again to do a lot of heavy lifting. As we head toward training camp, there could still be some minor moves made.

Here are three last-minute free agency options the Mavericks should consider signing.
