1. Avery Bradley
The Dallas Mavericks need a secondary ball-handler and someone that can play some defense. Those were the targets of the first two players on this list, and why Avery Bradley, a combination of both, lands in the No. 1 spot.
Last season, Bradley battled a knee injury, calf strain, and COVID-19, appearing in only 27 games; 10 the Miami Heat and then 17 after a deadline trade to the Houston Rockets. Before that, Bradley appeared in 49 games, starting 44, with the Los Angeles Lakers. Bradley was not with them during their title run in the Orlando Bubble, as he opted out of the restart.
Turning 31-years old in November, Bradley can still offer a lot to a contending team. He is an excellent defender, able to defend both backcourt spots and some wing players in certain matchups. He is a 36.3 percent shooter from 3-point territory and a capable playmaker.
He would make for an excellent option for the end of the bench for Dallas. He would provide the secondary ball-handler they are looking for without sacrificing anything defensively.
