1. Los Angeles Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers continue to be the favorites to sign Wesley Matthews as the days go on. The two sides were connected last year and it has become clear that Matthews wants to remain in Los Angeles. This would continue a strong offseason by Los Angeles.

After a year where they were hit hard by injuries and eliminated in the first round of the playoffs, the Lakers want to improve. Russell Westbrook was their big addition in a trade with the Washington Wizards.

The Lakers recently signed Rajon Rondo to a one-year deal to add depth off the bench. Matthews brings a dynamic to the Lakers that they could use.

He is a three-point threat and can play tough defense on the other end of the floor. This is the prototypical bench player in today’s NBA for a team looking to win.
