A team of Zach LaVine, Nikola Vucevic, DeMar DeRozan, Lonzo Ball, and Patrick Williams is definitely a really strong team in the Eastern Conference that should be able to make the playoffs, but they still seem like they are missing something to be a true contending threat against the likes of the Brooklyn Nets and Milwaukee Bucks.

Dillon Brooks could be that extra piece for them on the wing, especially since he took a major leap in terms of being a two-way threat last season.

In 67 regular-season games, Brooks averaged 17.2 points, 2.9 rebounds, and shot 34.4% from the floor, but as the season progressed, he became more and more comfortable converting on both ends of the court.

In the Memphis Grizzlies’ first-round playoff series against the Utah Jazz, they ultimately lost in five games, but Brooks was fantastic, averaging 25.8 points, 4.2 rebounds and he was a menace defending on the perimeter. He can be a liability at times in pick-and-roll defense, but man-to-man is his specialty and he would give the Bulls a huge boost on that end of the floor.

Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic struggled defensively last year and DeRozan is not a terrific defender either, which is why Chicago will need to improve on defense in order to live up to their full potential.

The additions of Lonzo Ball and Alex Caruso help the Bulls on the perimeter, but they still need another key talent to impact the game on both ends.

Seeing as they have Ja Morant as their point guard, the Grizzlies may not necessarily be interested in Coby White, but he is definitely a valuable young guard with a lot of upside to grow into.

White will miss a chunk of the first few months of the season as he recovers from offseason shoulder surgery, but he is a versatile combo-guard who can score and facilitate, making him an impact secondary talent for the Grizzlies.

It is not crazy to think that the Bulls could possibly put together an interesting trade package for Dillon Brooks, but is this “the right price” that Memphis is searching for in terms of possibly moving the young wing?
