This Grizzlies-Bulls Trade Involves Dillon Brooks Going To Chicago

Coming off an NBA season in which they went 31-41, there is definitely a lot to be excited about if you are a fan of the Chicago Bulls. Not only did your team improve by 9-wins in one season, but now they actually have the makings of being a top-tier team in the Eastern Conference, that is if everyone stays healthy and plays at the highest level possible.

Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic together for a full season are definitely going to bring the Bulls a lot of firepower on the offensive end of the floor, but now they also have DeMar DeRozan, Lonzo Ball, Alex Caruso, and Derrick Jones Jr. after a very successful offseason in terms of adding talent.

The Bulls capitalized on their open salary space and now have a really strong-looking team, but they still do have some roster spots open.

Seeing as they are close to the tax line for the 2021-22 season already and still have two open roster spots, it seems realistic to believe that the Bulls will look to fill out their two remaining roster spots with two minimum contracts type players. But, could Chicago potentially look to add another key talent to their roster who is not on a minimum contract?

The Memphis Grizzlies are coming off an impressive showing last season and are similar to the Bulls in terms of being a team on the rise in the Western Conference.

Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr. are two young, high-level talents leading this Grizzlies team with Dillon Brooks and Kyle Anderson being solid complementary players, but Brooks and Anderson could actually be available in trade talks.

Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com reported last week that the Memphis Grizzlies have made both Dillon Brooks and Kyle Anderson available “for the right price,” so could Chicago possibly swoop in and trade for one of them? Let’s look at a possible trade proposal put together by Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report that outlines a Dillon Brooks to Chicago trade.
