3 Under-The-Radar Free Agents For Los Angeles Lakers To Consider

Los Angeles Lakers, NBA Trade Rumors
NBA Analysis Network

The Los Angeles Lakers are preparing for another postseason run next season. They were taken out of the first round this year because of injuries and a lack of depth. They are working to avoid that fate this season and that includes making some big moves in NBA free agency and the trade market.

It begins with the addition of Russell Westbrook. Los Angeles has been linked to many big-name point guards throughout the offseason. This included Chris Paul and Kyle Lowry, along with Westbrook. They ended up with new contracts while Westbrook was traded to the Lakers from the Washington Wizards.

This gives Los Angeles a big three that can compete with anyone in the league. LeBron James and Anthony Davis finally have their answer at the top of the offense and that is what this team was missing.

Even without Westbrook, the Lakers were favorites in the postseason last year. Injuries forced them to fall to the seventh seed in the Western Conference and Davis was missing in the first round.

They did not have enough to get past the Phoenix Suns and it led to James’ first opening-round exit in his career. Throw Westbrook in the mix and the Lakers are ready to compete for another championship.

The West is deep and that is not going to change. There might not be many blockbuster deals out there for the Lakers to make but that does not mean that they are finished. Here are three under-the-radar moves that the Lakers could look into during the offseason.
