Chicago Bulls

The Chicago Bulls are one of the biggest winners in the NBA offseason. They came in with specific needs and filled them masterfully.

A point guard was arguably their biggest need and they filled the position aggressively. They landed Illinois point guard Ayo Dosunmu in the second round of the 2021 NBA Draft to start things off. In free agency, one of the first moves in the league was Chicago acquiring Lonzo Ball from the New Orleans Pelicans in a sign-and-trade. They finished off the backcourt revamping by signing Alex Caruso away from the Los Angeles Lakers.

On the wing, the Bulls landed DeMar DeRozan in a sign-and-trade with the San Antonio Spurs. But, to make all of these moves happen, the team depleted a lot of its depth.

Right now, DeRozan and Zach LaVine are occupying the wings in the starting lineup and Troy Brown Jr. is the only player behind them on the depth chart. Someone like Hamidou Diallo would fit in well with some added depth.

Diallo can impact the game without the ball in his hands and would give the Bulls a go-to stopper on the wing. Combined with Caruso off the bench, the Bulls would have two very good defenders that should be able to lock down second units across the league.
