3. Paul Millsap
Paul Millsap has seen his role with the Denver Nuggets shrink in recent years. His minutes per game have decreased in four consecutive seasons and at 36-years old, that could continue again this upcoming season. His role was cut back even more in the postseason, as he played only 12.1 minutes per game.
Departing Denver seems likely. At 36-years old, Millsap could be looking for a chance to win a ring and the Lakers would be an excellent landing spot to do that.
He was still serviceable in 20.8 minutes per game last season with the Nuggets. He averaged 9.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.6 blocks.
The former Louisiana Tech product would bring some defensive versatility and a little floor spacing to the Lakers’ frontcourt should the team target him.

Millsap has 129 games of playoff experience but has never appeared in an NBA Finals game. Having a really good chance of doing that with the Lakers could be enough to convince him to join the squad even if it is only on a veteran’s minimum deal.
