1. Carmelo Anthony
This is a pairing that has been a long time coming. The Los Angeles Lakers and Carmelo Anthony should have come together on a deal years ago, but as the saying goes, it is better late than never.
Anthony has shown that he is more than capable of still producing. He spent the last two seasons with the Portland Trail Blazers and did what he does best; score the basketball. He averaged 14.3 points per game in 127 games with Portland, knocking down 39.9 percent of his 3-point attempts. He kept that production up in the postseason, averaging 13.6 points on 39.3 percent from the 3-point line.
That scoring punch is something the Lakers could certainly use on their second unit, especially with Kyle Kuzma on the move. Anthony will provide a lot more consistency with the second unit that Kuzma did.
Anthony is also very good friends with LeBron James. Getting to play with and compete for a title with another one of his Banana Boat crew friends is something James would certainly love to do.

At 37-years old and after showing that he can still get it done, Anthony wants to win a ring. There won’t be many better places more equipped to do that than the Lakers.
