Relationship With LeBron James

Chris Paul has been well-traveled the last few seasons. He has played for a different franchise the last three seasons, suiting up for the Houston Rockets, Oklahoma City Thunder and Phoenix Suns. It is four different teams out of the last five seasons when you include the LA Clippers in 2016-17.

Paul may want to settle down and remain with one team to close out his career, but the opportunity to play alongside one of his best friends in LeBron James may be too much to pass up.

James and Paul are part of the Banana Boat crew, along with Dwyane Wade and Carmelo Anthony. Thus far, LeBron James and Wade are the only two to play together. With time running out on their NBA careers, Paul may be willing to join another franchise if it means finally teaming up with his friend.

With rumors swirling that the Lakers are going to target Anthony this offseason as well, every active Banana Boat member could team up in Los Angeles this offseason.

Paul still lives in Los Angeles as well despite not having played there since 2017. Playing closer to his family and with one or two of his best friends is not going to be an easy thing for someone to pass up on.
