Does this trade make sense for the Sacramento Kings?

De’Aaron Fox has looked like a franchise point guard but there is not much else for the Sacramento Kings to build around moving forward. This is where Kristaps Porzingis could come into play and a fresh start could be what he needs in order to return back to prominence.

When evaluating the best way to build around Fox, it’s clear that surrounding him with an overwhelming amount of perimeter shooting would make him essentially unguardable. A stretch-big like Porzingis could be a prime way to achieve necessary results of this kind.

The Kings have not been able to build anything for years now. They are in the midst of a brutal stretch out of the postseason and that is not looking like it is going to change anytime soon with the current state of the Western Conference.

It is time the front office starts being aggressive and attempts to land some big names. This could be the offseason to make a move as many might be available. Porzingis would balance the floor for the Kings on both ends. They lacked depth and explosiveness down low and this could give them some.

Porzingis is a unique player if he is able to stay healthy. The Kings would use him in many ways and rely on his scoring ability from all over the floor. He would bring a change of pace to what Richaun Holmes has provided.
