Philadelphia 76ers: Ben Simmons
The Philadelphia 76ers collapsed once again in the playoffs, this time due to the underwhelming play of Ben Simmons. Simmons has refused to evolve as a scorer, which led to Philadelphia’s demise in this year’s postseason. With the 76ers seeing their duo of Joel Embiid and Simmons fall short again, it’s now time to move on from Simmons.
Reports have surfaced that Philadelphia has begun entertaining offers for the former No. 1 overall pick as they hope to land an All-Star caliber player in return. Unless Simmons makes drastic changes to his game, if the 76ers want to win a title, they need to part ways with the All-Star point forward.
His defense and passing ability, along with the fact he’s still 24 years old, should make Simmons a coveted option despite his performance in the playoffs.
Toronto Raptors: Kyle Lowry
Ahead of free agency, it appears to be a foregone conclusion that Kyle Lowry is going to be leaving the Toronto Raptors. Pascal Siakam has been thrown around in NBA trade rumors, but he’s an under-appreciated player that is a key contributor on the roster.
With the team not having many players they should trade, Toronto should attempt to conduct a sign-and-trade with Lowry. Given Lowry’s projected market in free agency, the Raptors should get a decent return for the experienced point guard.
Washington Wizards: Davis Bertans
An impressive second-half surge in the regular season led to a remarkable playoff push for the Washington Wizards this season. But after firing Scott Brooks, it is undetermined what the direction of the franchise is going to be.
Will Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook be back with the team in 2021-22? Regardless of Beal and Westbrook’s status, Davis Bertans should be a player the Wizards consider trading this summer. Bertans is a career 40.7 percent shooter from outside, making him a valuable player in the NBA.

hat being said, Bertans is a liability on the defensive end and he’s owed $49 million over the next three seasons. Washington could get more depth on their bench by trading Bertans in the coming months.
