Detroit Pistons: Mason Plumlee

The Detroit Pistons are taking a youthful approach to their rebuild, electing to give more minutes to their young players in the latter part of the 2020-2021 season. Given that they aren’t going to be much better next season, there’s no reason to have veterans have key roles on the roster.

One veteran that Detroit can afford to part ways with is Mason Plumlee. The Pistons have Isaiah Stewart ready to accept the starting job and Plumlee showed that he can be a solid center this season, producing 10.4 points and a career-high 9.3 rebounds per game. Plumlee has an affordable contract, so trading him might not be as tough as it may seem.

Indiana Pacers: Myles Turner

Outside of Caris LeVert, nearly every player on the Indiana Pacers has been discussed in trade rumors this offseason. The most popular name has been Myles Turner, who is expected to drum up a ton of interest on the trade market.

Indiana has to make a decision between Turner and Domantas Sabonis, and with Sabonis making the All-Star team in two straight years, they’ll likely side with him. Turner is a perfect modern-day big that can stretch the floor and protect the paint. In what should be an active offseason for the Pacers, I’d be shocked if Turner isn’t in a new uniform next season.

Miami Heat: Tyler Herro

During the entirety of the NBA bubble last season, Tyler Herro was one of the players that burst onto the scene. Herro showed he was fearless as a rookie guard out of Kentucky, earning the respect of Jimmy Butler.

While Herro had a formidable sophomore campaign this season, his long-term role with the Miami Heat is uncertain. And with Miami itching to compile a legitimate title contender, it’s best for them to cash in on Herro’s trade value while it’s still high right now.

There are a ton of teams that would love to get an opportunity to acquire the 21-year-old guard that already has experience in the NBA Finals.
