New Orleans Pelicans
There have been trade rumors swirling around the NBA that the New Orleans Pelicans are shopping the No. 10 pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. They want to bring in veterans to help push the team toward winning more games, not add another youngster to the mix. But, if they do hold onto the selection, Keon Johnson would be a great target.
Johnson wouldn’t be relied upon as a franchise savior in New Orleans, they already have that in Zion Williamson. He wouldn’t even be needed as a go-to scorer, as Brandon Ingram has that covered with Williamson.
Instead, New Orleans would just need him to do what he does best; fill in the gaps. Johnson could fill the role Josh Hart has been off the bench if Hart leaves in free agency.
He would be a spark plug off the bench that gets after it defensively, defending opponents all over the court. Offensively, he could use his athleticism as a slasher to get to the rim for easy buckets.

His ability to play off the ball and impact the game defensively would be welcome in New Orleans as they are looking to make a push toward the postseason in 2022.
