Keon Johnson, 2021 NBA Draft

The 2021 NBA Draft is just about two weeks away. As teams prepare their draft boards and rumors leak about what direction they may be going in, the order in which players are selected becomes a little clearer.

This year, there seems to be a consensus on the top five. Cade Cunningham, Jalen Green, Evan Mobley, Jonathan Kuminga and Jalen Suggs are regarded as the top five players in this draft. There have been debates as to why each could be the No. 1 pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, but it sounds like that will be either Cunningham or Green.

In the tier right below them falls Tennessee shooting guard, Keon Johnson. Johnson passed on his final three years of eligibility, leaving Knoxville after his freshman season.

The Volunteer averaged 11.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.1 steals in 25.5 minutes per game. While not eye-popping, teams are evaluating him for what he can be in the future, not what we did in Tennessee and they like what they see.

Johnson is raw offensively but there is a lot to work with. His motor never stops, he has other-worldly athleticism and isn’t afraid to bang on the inside with bigger opponents. Those are qualities that teams can work with as he improves his offensive game, specifically his shooting.

Which teams would be good fits for Keon Johnson? Here are four landing spots that would be ideal for the former Volunteer in the 2021 NBA Draft.
