Toronto Raptors

Like the Warriors, the Toronto Raptors were a surprise lottery team this year. Their streak of seven straight playoff appearances ended and now they have a chance to capitalize on that with a top pick in the 2021 NBA Draft.

Much like Golden State, Toronto has a great foundation in place that would offer Keon Johnson the chance to grow and develop his game while allowing him to focus on his strengths early on. Toronto also has a history of developing raw, talented players, something that should excite Johnson should he land here.

The Raptors did it with Fred VanVleet, who went undrafted in 2016 and again with Pascal Siakam, who they selected the following year with the No. 27 overall pick. Norman Powell, OG Anunoby and DeMar DeRozan could qualify as well.

Anunoby is a good example, as the Raptors selected him after he was injured in college. Similar to Johnson, Anunoby came into the league with a raw offensive game but oozing with athleticism and a willingness to play defense. Toronto has helped him hone those skills, as he averaged 15.9 points per game this last season and knocked down 39.8 percent of his 3-pointers.

Given their extensive history of developing wing players, Toronto would be a great landing spot for Keon Johnson.
