Oklahoma City Thunder
The Oklahoma City Thunder would be a great landing spot for any young player. Given their current timeline, they would present an opportunity for major minutes right from the get-go. For a player as raw as Keon Johnson, that could be an ideal situation.
At this stage, Johnson needs as many reps as he can handle. Oklahoma City could have a starting spot for him right from the beginning alongside Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in their backcourt that he could fill.
The Thunder also has a history of developing players with similar strengths coming out of college. Russell Westbrook was an athletic dynamo that the Thunder helped mold into the freight train of a player we have all watched him turn into. More recently, they did it with Luguentz Dort as well.
Dort was a super athletic wingman coming out of Arizona State in 2019. He went undrafted but eventually worked his way into the Thunder’s rotation. He was raw offensively but made an impact on the defensive end. He is coming along nicely for Oklahoma City, as he improved to 34.3 percent from the 3-point line after shooting only 29.7 percent as a rookie.

That kind of transformation would be possible for Johnson in Oklahoma City as well should they land him in the 2021 NBA Draft.
