Does this trade make sense for the Chicago Bulls?
The Chicago Bulls decided to move towards competing right away at the NBA trade deadline. With Billy Donovan as head coach, the front office decided to get him some players that he could work with to build a winner.
The Bulls know the Eastern Conference is weak near the bottom and there is a chance they could compete for a playoff spot. Andrew Wiggins would slot in at Zach LaVine’s spot after this NBA trade scenario while Chicago would also add a pair of prospects with the No. 7 and 14 overall picks.
Zach LaVine has turned into an elite scorer and he is worth plenty of first-round draft capital. There is major financial incentive for him to wait until next offseason to agree to a potential contract extension. Is it worth risking him reaching free agency next offseason and opting to depart?
This all depends on how the Bulls front office wants to continue the rebuild. There are plenty of options and that will be the case moving forward. Adding a pair of lottery picks along with a solid wing could be an intriguing option to consider.

LaVine could be the centerpiece player to build around or he could be sent away for a huge return. This is one that shows how much he could get back in the form of draft capital and help on the perimeter.
