Does this trade make sense for the Golden State Warriors?
The benefit of this particular NBA trade scenario for the Golden State Warriors clearly is Zach LaVine. He would create yet another big three in Golden State as they look to continue to compete in the Western Conference.
This is a chance for Golden State to return to the top of the league and continue to contend for championships. Adding a player that can knockdown pull-ups from deep in addition to getting to the rim at a high-level would go a long way for a Warriors team in need of adding talent around Stephen Curry.
Golden State has dealt with injuries and this has forced them to finish lower than expected over the last two years. Curry showed that he is still one of the best players in the NBA while Klay Thompson will hopefully be returning healthy.
They currently hold two picks in the lottery of the upcoming 2021 NBA Draft and there have been rumors of trades. It is likely that the Warriors will be willing to at least move their first selection but they could throw the second one in for a player like LaVine.

The Warriors have been one of the best teams in the league over the last five years. It will be interesting to see how they get back to that championship level.
