Does this trade make sense for the Miami Heat?

The Miami Heat are a win-now franchise and need to be looking to make a trade. They underachieved this season but expect to be right back near the top next season. For this to happen, Miami might have to land a big-name player to add to the lineup.

The Heat have been linked to many over the last year or so. They could look to add players such as Russell Westbrook in a trade if they were willing to take on an unfavorable contract. There are also some free-agent targets that Miami could have an eye on.

Terrence Ross is not the big name that they might be targeting but he is a player with experience that could contribute right away. He would bring an immediate boost in perimeter shooting capabilities in addition to general shot creation.

Along with the No. 8 pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, Ross could be a nice return for a pair of players. There are prospects like Franz Wagner, Jalen Johnson, and Davion Mitchell who are expected to be within range of this selection, which could be attractive for a team who does not have their own selection.
