It feels that every night San Antonio Spurs rookie phenom Victor Wembanyama takes the court, he is making NBA history. It is a marvel watching him play, as he is capable of doing things normally seen only in video games.

Wembanyama has already matched some incredible performances by Hall of Fame players during his first season in the league. He is on pace to accomplish something only Shaquille O’Neal has done, and it was during his MVP campaign in the 1999-2000 season.

The record book already features him for reaching statistical plateaus that have never been reached previously. He is leading the NBA in blocks this season, and combined with his 3-point prowess, has led to combinations never before seen in the league.

Accomplishing what he has as a rookie is quite remarkable. This is literally the worst version we will see of Wembanyama as he isn’t even scratching the surface yet of his potential. Once he fully adapts to the NBA and starts filling out his frame, what more will he accomplish?

NBA NEWS & SCORES: Victor Wembanyama, Nate Thurmond, Alvin Robertson, Hakeem Olajuwon, David Robinson, San Antonio Spurs Updates

In the opinion of NBA insider Shams Charania, we are going to see some truly incredible performances from Wembanyama in his career. During an appearance on Run It Back on FanDuel TV, Charania revealed he believes Wembanyama will become the all-time leader in quadruple-doubles in NBA history.

“Victor Wembanyama will be the guy that we’re going to think about as far as being the all time quadruple-double leader, I think it’s only bound to happen,” Charnia said to Michelle Beadle and former NBA players Chandler Parsons and Lou Williams.

Charania is making that prediction after the performance that Wembanyama had against the reigning NBA champions, the Denver Nuggets, on Tuesday night. He nearly recorded his first quadruple-double, scoring 23 points with 15 rebounds, eight assists and nine blocks.

There have only been four players to record a quadruple-double in NBA history; Nate Thurmond, Alvin Robertson, Hakeem Olajuwon and David Robinson. Based on what we have seen from Wembanyama this season, Charania may be onto something. It feels like a matter of time until the No. 1 pick in the 2023 NBA Draft joins that list and surpasses them all with multiple.
