Golden State Warriors Receive: F Pascal Siakam, C Aron Baynes
Toronto Raptors Receive: C James Wiseman, F Andrew Wiggins, MIN 2021 1st Round Pick (Pick #7), GSW 2021 1st Round Pick (Pick #14)

This first trade package seems to be the main “trade” that everybody is talking about in social media in terms of the Warriors potentially getting Pascal Siakam. In this deal, not only would the Warriors send Toronto Wiseman and Wiggins, but they would also be sending them the 7th and 14th picks in this year’s draft.

This would give the Toronto Raptors the 4th, 7th and 14th picks in the 2021 NBA Draft, not only giving them the ability to draft three highly-talented, young players, but they could potentially package all three of these picks together to make another trade for a superstar talent. Immediately, the one name that comes to mind is Damian Lillard.

With Kyle Lowry being a free agent this offseason, the Raptors could turn their attention to adding a star guard via trade, which is why Lilalrd is the first name that comes to mind, but a lot would have to happen between now and then for Toronto to consider this an option.

Right now, their main concern is figuring out what direction they want to head in as a franchise and if they decide to trade Pascal Siakam in the offseason, it means that the Raptors will be going through a quick rebuild. By adding James Wiseman, Andrew Wiggins and two more lottery picks, the Raptors would have everything they need to become one of the brightest, young teams in the league.

For Golden State, we know what they would be getting with Pascal Siakam and they could benefit from adding a guy like Aron Baynes as well. The Warriors obviously love James Wiseman and want him to be their center moving forward, but if they were to trade him, Aron Baynes is not that bad of a replacement with Kevin Looney at the center position for the year.

Baynes has been in the league for 9 seasons now and has made a name for himself by being a physical-minded big man who can stretch the floor and knockdown shots from the perimeter. Over the last three seasons with the Celtics, Suns and Raptors, Aron Baynes has shot 32.2% from three-point range and has been a factor on the glass, averaging 5.1 rebounds per game over this span.

The Warriors would be giving up a lot of future assets by trading for Pascal Siakam in any trade scenario, but the question they have to ask themselves is if he is the final piece in their championship puzzle. If the answer is yes, then Golden State should not hesitate to trade for Siakam, even if it does mean sacrificing their future to do so.
