Nerlens Noel

The Sacramento Kings should do everything in their power to re-sign Richaun Holmes this offseason. However, if they can’t, they should quickly turn their attention to Nerlens Noel.

Noel was not only one of the best defensive centers in the NBA this season, but defensive players overall. He is the only player in the league to average at least 2.0 blocks and 1.0 steals this season and he accomplished it in only 24.2 minutes per game.

The injury concerns with Nerlens Noel are legitimate, but he would be a true difference-maker for the Kings in the middle with his defensive skills. The Kings need someone that can protect the rim and make things more difficult for opponents offensively and Noel can do that.

He played out this season on a one-year, $5 million deal with the Knicks. Expect him to land a multi-year deal from someone worth at least double, if not triple, that amount annually.
