While the NBA is currently in the midst of several highly contested and viewed playoff bouts, we can start to shift our focus to the latter half of the NBA offseason that could feature some of the biggest offseason trades. Several teams are going to be active this offseason, and the Sacramento Kings and Miami Heat could partake in their fair share of the offseason festivities, potentially involving Buddy Hield.

The Kings were a team that struggled to get things going in 2020-21, and they missed the playoffs as a result of that. The Heat, on the other hand, made the playoffs in 2020-21 and were the NBA Finals’ runner-ups the year prior, but there is still plenty of room for growth.

A trade between these two teams could catch a lot of people off guard, but we’ve seen a multitude of trades go down between a playoff team and a below average squad throughout the league’s recent history. A trade between these two teams could allow each side to add some immediate talent, while also investing in their futures as well.

Hield is no stranger to being moved around, and he could suffer a similar fate this offseason as the Kings look to get even younger.
