Jonathan Kuminga

Will the Wizards find themselves high enough to land Jonathan Kuminga? He has been a consensus top-five pick in almost every mock draft you will see. Kuminga played with Jalen Green for the G-League Ignite this past season. He decided to sign with the team rather than going to college. In the G-League, Kuminga showed incredible promise.

Kuminga’s offensive game is not complete but he is an incredible athlete with great ability. At 6-foot-8, Jonathan Kuminga has the size and length to dominate on the perimeter. He is not a strong shooter at the moment. Kuminga shot under 30% from three-point range in 13 games this past season. This is an area that will improve overtime.

Regardless, it is hard to find more than a few players better than Jonathan Kuminga coming out. He was one of the top players coming out of high school and will be one of the first players selected in the 2021 NBA Draft.

If Washington is looking for a franchise-changing player, Kuminga could be the best-case scenario. This is definitely a fit but it will be all about if Washington is high enough to have a chance at Jonathan Kuminga.
