At this point, the Wizards need to be looking to add the best player available when they are on the clock. Depending on their position, that could be Scottie Barnes. The Florida State product played himself into a lottery pick during his one season with the Florida State Seminoles. He is a projected top-10 pick right now and that could change as we approach the draft over the next month or so.

Washington would be a fit for Barnes because they need help on both ends of the floor. Scottie Barnes can defend well on the perimeter. He moves well laterally and has extremely good length at 6-foot-9. Offensively, Barnes’ jump shot is a work in progress but this is something that can develop with time.

Scottie Barnes can finish at the rim and in the lane. He thrives with the ball in his hands getting to the basket. Barnes is aggressive on both ends and this helps his toughness. Washington needs some players that can come in and change the culture.

If the Wizards make some big moves in the offseason, they will begin from the ground up. Barnes is a good first step if Washington is looking to improve drastically.
