Scottie Barnes
Scottie Barnes might be the best fit for the Pacers in this draft. Again, it all depends on if he falls a bit or the Pacers decide to move up. At 6-foot-9, Barnes has great size and can play the four in Indiana. He has the ability to step out and be a perimeter player as well, which is extremely important in today’s NBA.
Barnes is a strong defender on the perimeter. This is something that the Pacers could use in the draft. He showed an ability to be a playmaker on both ends of the floor. During his time at Florida State, Scottie Barnes turned into an impact performer and made a name for himself in the draft class.
The area to improve would be from the three-point line. Scottie Barnes shot just 27.5% from beyond the arc as a Seminole but this is an area that is a work in progress for many young players entering the league. His ability in the lane and at the rim will overshadow his shooting early on. In Indiana, Barnes might not be asked to do too much if they keep their core in town. This would also be a huge benefit.

Scottie Barnes is definitely one of the best fits for the Pacers because of his ability on both ends of the floor. If the Pacers are attempting to move up in the draft, this could be the prospect they have their eye on.
