Why This Trade Would Benefit The New Orleans Pelicans

The New Orleans Pelicans are again one of the bottom teams in the Western Conference. This was to be expected because of their lack of depth at each position on the floor. Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson give the team a core to build around but they do not do much for the present. This is where the big trade could come in to play and help the team.

Malcolm Brogdon is one of the more underrated guards in the league. He is an elite defensive player and can score from all three levels. Brogdon knows how to run an offense and play alongside other stars. This is something that would help him take the next step in New Orleans because of the talent he would be with.

Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson are perfect teammates for Brogdon because they would be able to speed up his play and run in transitions. The Pelicans will be able to dump some players that have been in rumors which would help them moving forward.
