Why This Trade Would Benefit The Indiana Pacers
The Indiana Pacers have some decisions to make moving forward. They have been a staple in the postseason and people just expect them to be there. This year, they have taken a step back and might be out of the race during the second half of the season. This would be surprising to see in a week Eastern Conference but it is possible with the current state of the team.
Victor Oladipo was sent away already and they could be interested in making another big splash. Myles Turner has been a name that has surfaced in NBA trade rumors but they could choose to go another direction.
It seems as though Sabonis is going to be around long term which means that any other player on the team could be moved at any time. Malcolm Brogdon could be that player in this deal. They would be able to clear some space along with adding an intriguing young player, along with the first-round pick.

This deal it all depends on which direction the Pacers would like to go moving forward. If they decide to sell a bit, Brogdon could be one of the first names on the move.
