This Pacers-Pelicans trade is focused on Malcolm Brogdon

The New Orleans Pelicans have one of the most intriguing duos in the NBA. They are interested in building around Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson moving forward. They could look to make a trade for a point guard to team up with their perimeter threats.

New Orleans sent Jrue Holiday to the Milwaukee Bucks in the offseason. This showed that they were going in a different direction and continuing their rebuild in a big way.

Eric Bledsoe was the return for Holiday and we have seen him featured in many NBA trade rumors, along with JJ Redick. The Pelicans have some assets to move if they want to acquire an elite guard at the top of the offense.

Malcolm Brogdon could be an option to watch out for. The Indiana Pacers could quickly decide to sell at the NBA trade deadline. They entered the break with a record of 16-19 and out of the playoffs currently in the Eastern Conference. This is a position they have not been in years prior.

Indiana already made a big deal when they sent Victor Oladipo to the Houston Rockets and could look to make another with Brogdon. The Pacers were thought to be interested in building around Brogdon and Domantas Sabonis but anything can happen when a team begins losing.

Brogdon to New Orleans would give Ingram and Williamson an intriguing partner. Here is what it might take to get this deal done.
