Why This Trade Would Benefit The Indiana Pacers

With the emergence of Domantas Sabonis, the Indiana Pacers have some flexibility if they want to trade Myles Turner. This makes it easier moving forward. Sabonis and Brogdon are the players to build around and put pieces next to. This is where this trade would help Indiana.

The Pacers are currently a middle of the pack team in the Eastern Conference. They were swept out of the first round a year ago and would like a better fate. Indiana has been linked to some big-name players but would settle for a return such as this one.

JJ Redick and Lonzo Ball would come in and contribute immediately in different ways. Redick is one of the top shooters in the league while Ball has a high-ceiling that he has not reached yet.

When looking at this deal, the Pacers would be getting assets in all ways along with shedding some salary. This is not the worst offer for Indiana to be looking at for Myles Turner. If they want to trade him, there will be many teams interested so they will have some options to choose from.

There’s going to need to be a shake up for the Pacers at some point. Caris LeVert and TJ Warren returning at some point will help, but Indiana will be best suited going small with Warren at the four spot. Domantas Sabonis being an All-Star sorts the situation out on its own.
