The 2020-21 NBA season is finally underway and while every team is still getting warmed up and adjusted to the new season, there are already some players who are outshining the rest of the pack. There are currently no more undefeated teams remaining in the NBA, but there is lots of talent all throughout the NBA that we will aim to spotlight.

Obviously, we only have a small sample size of games to choose from as far as nominating the five best breakout stars of the season so far, but there are certainly already some guys worthy of our praises. We’ve already seen a high level of competition throughout the NBA and we’ve seen some surprise teams take a step towards early season contention.

When it comes to having a breakout season, there has to be a certain level of awe factor that comes with the player’s sudden emergence. Obviously a guy like Giannis Antetokounmpo isn’t going to shock the world when he takes flight on a big dunk or puts up 26 points against a rather weak Heat team, but if a guy who’s struggled in recent seasons does that he all of a sudden begins to earn some respect.

The NBA is so unique when it comes to breakout stars because any guy can ball out on any given day and take the entire league by storm. So far in 2021, we’ve already seen a few players do just that.

With that being said, let’s take a dive on into the top five players who have already began to breakout this season.
