This Celtics-Warriors trade would feature Draymond Green to Boston

Why The Trade Would Benefit The Golden State Warriors

Draymond Green has been banged up to start the 2020-21 NBA season but recently made his regular-season debut. Steph Curry dropping a career-high 62 points has overshadowed much of the Golden State Warriors’ struggles, but regardless, it has been a tough start to their campaign.

Right now, Kelly Oubre and Andrew Wiggins are not getting it done on the perimeter, and they don’t look as though they have the necessary skill-set to change that any time soon. Curry is by himself out there and the effects of losing Thompson have shown early.

Adding a player like Marcus Smart would at least give the Warriors another ball-handler alongside Steph Curry and someone who can score and defend at a high rate. Romeo Langford is the most intriguing piece of this deal given his high ceiling in the NBA— receiving plenty of praise from Danny Ainge.

This is a move to reshape the Warriors’ roster in hopes of Thompson returning healthy next NBA season. It would be interesting to see Draymond Green land on another team so Golden State can reconfigure their supporting cast around the Splash Bros.
