This is a chance for two of the best franchises in recent years to make a blockbuster trade. Both the Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtics were expected to compete this NBA season but have gotten off to two very different starts.
The Golden State Warriors have struggled with both Klay Thompson out indefinitely and Draymond Green sidelined to start out due to injury. Now, Green has since returned to the lineup, but staying available has been an issue for him as of late.
Steph Curry is by himself on the floor and opposing defenses have keyed in on slowing him down. He got around this on Sunday by dropping a career-high 62 points against the Portland Trail Blazers, but that’s not going to happen every night. Right now, there are a few other players who can step up when needed.
As for the Celtics, they entered the NBA offseason with a need to add size and strength down low. They signed Tristan Thompson in the frontcourt but did not make any other moves. If they want to rise to the top of the Eastern Conference, they will need a versatile big to compete with Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bam Adebayo.
This trade would work out well for both sides and give them much needed help in certain areas. Let’s take a look at what a potential trade between these two sides might look like.
