Predicting the landing spots for top free agent power forwards

Davis Bertans, Wizards, 76ers

Davis Bertans

There is not much excitement on this list given the fact that many players could re-sign with their current NBA teams. One being Bertans in D.C. He spent the first three years of his career with the San Antonio Spurs but did not see the success that he has in Washington.

In 2019-2020, Bertans averaged 15.4 points per game while shooting 42.4% from the floor. At 6’10, Bertans fits perfectly into that stretch-four style of play. He is a pick-and-pop threat on the perimeter. Bertans has never been much of a rebounder because his game usually takes place in the mid-range and beyond the arc. He is a smaller name on the free-agent market which means he could sign a contract that is very much in the Wizards’ ballpark.

It has been rumored that both John Wall and Bradley Beal are going to attempt to recruit players to Washington this offseason. Bertans is one that will not take a lot of convincing.
