Marcus Morris

Marcus Morris signed a one-year deal with the New York Knicks last year during the offseason. He emerged as a legitimate scoring threat for New York before they dealt him for a first-round pick in the 2020 NBA Draft to the Los Angeles Clippers.

The fact that the Clippers gave up a first-round pick for Morris hints that they will try their best to retain him. With Kawhi Leonard and Paul George on the roster, it is not like the Clippers were just looking to win one title. They clearly have plans of competing for a long time. Morris averaged 19.6 points and shot 43.6% from the three-point line as a member of the Knicks. Obviously, those numbers were expected to dip in Los Angeles but he was still able to score 10.1 points per contest.

There will be some moving parts for the Clippers this offseason, especially at the point guard position. Morris should not be one of those parts.
