2. Philadelphia 76ers
The Philadelphia 76ers have recently said that they are not willing to trade Ben Simmons this offseason. With Philadelphia on the list of preferred teams for James Harden, would it be possible to get a deal done without including Simmons or Joel Embiid?
It does not seem possible but the Sixers have other assets, and terrible contracts, that they could part ways with. Tobias Harris and Al Horford are on insane deals and Philly could look to move one, or both, in this trade.
Along with multiple NBA Draft picks, the Sixers also have names like Matisse Thybulle, Josh Richardson, and Shake Milton to include in a deal along with Harris or Horford.
In this deal, the NBA Draft capital is what would be important. If the Houston Rockets could find a way to get Philly to agree to include Simmons or Embiid, it is a no-brainer.
